About RJM Sales

In 1983, on the heels of successful careers in wholesale, Jim Frick and Richard (Dick) Heggerfield sat in Jim’s office and laid the plans for a partnership in the plumbing/water supply industry as manufacturers reps. They had commitments from a few manufactures within their territory of Michigan. Now they needed a name for their agency. They thought about just their first initials and considered RJ Sales, but it was missing something. As they were debating company names, Jim’s family cat Max jumped into Dick’s briefcase to complete the partnership and RJM Sales was born!

“Sales Acceleration through Quality Representation” became their mantra and the agency grew. In the mid 90’s, Dick Heggerfield retired and Jim Frick became the sole owner and focused more on water systems products and less on plumbing products. Jim also increased the territory RJM served to include Indiana. In 2006 Jim formed a successful partnership with Brad White, and the agency continued to grow, moving into the Ohio market. RJM’s portfolio expanded beyond the water systems industry to include water works through an association with Northern Pipe Products.

2011 brought more growth as Taylor White joined the agency as RJM’s pipe specialist. In 2014 the company added Wisconsin and Illinois to its water works industry territory. RJM continues to thrive and still adheres to the same mantra, “Sales Acceleration through Quality Representation.”

Brad White

For 28 years Brad spent his professional life on the wholesale distribution side of the water-well business, the last 20 of those at a successful distributor in Indianapolis, IN. He had started on the ground floor and moved into a minority partnership, when a dream opportunity presented itself to him. Jim Frick had a well-established and successful representation business for quality manufacturers of a variety of well-water products. It turned out to be a tailor-made fit for Brad, and in 2006, he left the wholesale side of the business to partner with Jim’s agency, RJM Sales and Marketing. Soon after the transition he entered into an agreement to acquire the agency from Jim and continues to provide the top-notch service that RJM has come to symbolize.

Taylor White

Taylor began with RJM in 2011 with the sole purpose to expand and promote RJM’s PVC pipe and HDPE interests in existing territories. A graduate of Ball State, he had been interested in applying himself in a small business setting where he could establish solid relationships and build a quality brand, and the opportunity at RJM allowed him to explore that interest further. Since he has joined the team, RJM has expanded to new markets and additional territories, adding the ability to further service the Waterworks and Irrigation markets. Taylor lives in Indianapolis and continues to provide an additional sales arm for RJM.
